TILBURY Sea Scouts were given a guided tour of the Council Chamber and the Mayor's parlour during a recent visit to the Civic Offices.
Deputy mayor, councillor Maureen Pearse, gave them a guided tour on Wednesday July 2. Coun Pearse and the scouts held a "mock" cabinet meeting to exchange ideas and stories.
The visit was the final stage in the scouts receiving their community challenge badge. They were treated to refreshments and mementos in the parlour and at the end of the tour councillor Pearse received a scouting thank-you - a huge "oggy oggy oggy" call, that still rings in the deputy mayor's ears.
