A NUMBERS of South Ockendon childminders got together at the Compass Children's Centre to celebrate the National Childminding Association Week with the theme of reading.

It was supported by Julia Francis of Bookstart who read the Graffolo, and Dirty Berty.

The afternoon was organised by group leader and Network Childminder Susan Glynn who was also celebrating 10 years of childminding.

She said: "I have seen a lot of changes in the last 10 years, and the children growing up."
