TILBURY suffered an FA Cup exit at the first qualifying round, while Grays Athletic could not hold onto a one-goal lead at Hertford Town.

The Dockers welcomed Aylesbury United to Chadfields and were looking to build on a promising start to the new Isthmian North campaign.

But Gary Henty's side's hopes of progressing in the cup competition were ended by the visitors.

Tyriq Hunte grabbed the only goal of the game for Aylesbury United 10 minutes into the second half.

And although the Dockers fought back and looked for an equaliser, one was not forthcoming.

Meanwhile, Grays Athletic travelled to Hertford Town on the back of a convincing win over Aveley on Bank Holiday Monday.

But the two sides will have to meet again on Wednesday after they played out a 1-1 draw.

The in-form Kieran Bishop gave Jamie Stuart's side the lead on 21 minutes after he was bundled over in the penalty area before stepping up and converting the spot kick.

Bishop was denied a second before half time after he was found by Ade Cole, only to be flagged offside.

But Tommy Wade hit back with the equaliser with 15 minutes to play to force a replay at Parkside.
