Grays Athletic 3-3 Met Police
From Mill Field
Ryman Premier League
GRAYS Athletic fought back from losing positions twice to secure a valiant point against Met Police.
Kenny Beaney hit his third goal in two matches, with Joao Carlos and Correy Davidson also getting on the scoresheet.
The home team were looking for the points that could lift them back into the play-off picture but they got off to the worst possible start.
Joe Turner netted inside the first 60 seconds to put the visitors in charge and Met Police doubled the advantage after 25 minutes when Charlie Collins netted.
But, fresh from his double against Brentwood Town in the week, Beaney got Blues back in the game 10 minutes before half-time with a well-taken strike.
Blues levelled the scores on 56 minutes, with Joao Carlos firing home.
It looked as though that would be in vain when Turner scored his second of the afternoon with nine minutes remaining, but back came Grays once again.
Davidson got the leveller to end a hugely entertaining match.
Grays Athletic: Johnson, Ifill, Siva, Cronin, Hutchings, Agyemang, Michael-Percil, Beaney, Fortnam-Tomlinson, Davidson, Carlos
