Grays Athletic 3-2 Harrow Borough
From Mill Field
Ryman Premier League
GRAYS Athletic got the better of ten-man Harrow Borough to record an overdue win, and get back in the hunt for the play-offs.
Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson’s brace plus a Dumebi Dumaka strike was enough for the hosts, although it was Harrow that had taken the lead.
Neither team had won in any of their last four league matches and chances were few and far between early on, although Grays were handed an early boost after Harrow were reduced to ten men.
Goalkeeper Billy Granger was shown a red card, although there was an element of controversy about the foul as it was in the far corner and away from the danger zone.
But, just three minutes after the dismissal, Harrow had the lead as Fejiri Okerabirhie powered home the opening goal to give the Londoners the lead.
Grays hit back almost immediately when Fortnam-Tomlinson got the equaliser and it was the same man that scored again to turn the score line on its head.
Fortnam-Tomlinson slotted home despite Harrow appeals he was in an offside position when receiving the pass.
Dumaka increased Grays’ advantage with 20 minutes left to play and that looked as though that was that for the 10-men, although Harrow did rally late on.
Marc Charles-Smith made it 3-2 with 10 minutes to play and, despite several late scares, the hosts held on for the points.
Grays Athletic: Hadler, Ifill, Siva, Cronin, Hutchings, Symons (Little), Davidson, Beaney, Dumaka (Agyemang), Fortnam-Tomlinson, Carlos
