DUMEBI Dumaka stormed back into form with a brace as Grays Athletic came from 2-0 down to beat Met Police.

The striker has been below par in recent times as transfer speculation surrounded his future, but he helped turn the game in Grays’ advantage after they had fallen behind early on.

Joe Turner scored twice in the first 20 minutes to put Met Police firmly in charge.

The first goal came as he beat exposed goalkeeper Lamar Johnson with a composed finish, although the second came after an error from the keeper.

Johnson sliced an attempted clearance straight into the path of a Met Police attacker, and Turner was left with the simplest of chances, having rounded the keeper.

But two minutes later Grays were back in it, as good wing play from Bradley Fortnam-Tomlisnon saw a cross tapped in at the far post by Roman Michael-Percil.

Dumaka scored the second 10 minutes before half-time, after more good play from Fortnam-Tomlinson, as Grays went into half-time on level terms.

But they had turned the scoreline on its head just two minutes into the second-half as Dumaka shot home, with the goal of the game.

Jey Siva's pass found the striker on the edge of the box and he curled an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

Johnson made amends for his first-half error with a terrific save to keep the score at 3-2, while Sean Cronin should have extended the advantage but he headed over.

Dumaka was involved in the fourth goal, as his strike was kept out, only for Jake Hutchings to turn home the loose ball.

Neil Barrett was sent off for Met Police as the clock ticked down, for a late challenge on Grays' Kenny beaney, but it was a comfortable win in the end, as Blues closed on the play-offs.
