Hampton & Richmond Borough 3–1 Grays Athletic

GRAYS Athletic couldn’t match Hampton & Richmond Borough as their winless run stretched to six matches following defeat on Saturday.
Blues welcomed back influential striker Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson alongside Dumebi Dumaka, fresh from his two goals against Hendon last Monday, but it was the home team that raced into a commanding lead after half-time.
The first-half was a cagey affair with both sides creating good openings, albeit without making that all important breakthrough.
However, Hampton produced a barnstorming second-half performance to run away with the result. Nicke Kabamba got the opening goal just shy of the hour mark, finishing well after some good approach work, with the second coming 10 minutes from the final whistle.
Rangy centre-half Moussa Diarra steamed in to head the home team into a two-goal lead, with Kabamba scoring his second a minute from time.
Fortnam-Tomlinson did get his name on the scoresheet in the closing stages but the game was lost.
Grays Athletic: Johnson, Ifill, Cronin, Cummings, Leader, Agyemang, Addai, Beaney, Dumaka, Carlos, Fortnam-Tomlinson
