MIDFIELDER Nathan Ferguson has left Grays Athletic to link up with League One frontrunners Burton Albion.

Ferguson, 20, had been on trial with Burton after a proposed move to Fleetwood Town fell through recently.

However, he has now penned a two-and-a-half year contract with Burton, after impressing on trial with Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink’s side.

Ferguson, who has also played for Billericay Town, told his new club’s website he was made to feel welcome and was excited at the future.

“I came in for a week to train and I really liked the atmosphere and all the lads made me feel very welcome,” he said. “I was very keen to come here and work with the squad at Burton.”
