Grays Athletic 0–2 Leatherhead
From Mill Field
Ryman Premier League
GRAYS Athletic’s poor recent form continued as they went down for the second time in a fortnight against Leatherhead.
Blues have been on a difficult run in the league of late, slipping from the top of the standings to eighth.
They had been beaten 3-0 by Leatherhead just a fortnight ago, and Mark Bentley’s boys were looking for a reaction, having gone four league games without tasting success.
Jake Hutchings was handed a first start since returning to the club on loan, having spent a brief spell at the club two years ago, but he could inspire a victory.
Adam Yusff opened the scoring for Leatherhead shortly after half time, but Blues missed a golden chance to level when they were awarded a penalty.
But the usually reliable Dumebi Dumaka’s spot kick was weak and was comfortably saved.
Tashan Adeyinka added a second in injury time.
Grays Athletic: Johnson, Ifill, Siva, Cronin (Bentley), Hutchings, Stevens, Michael-Percil, Agyemang (Little), Dumaka, Fortnam-Tomlinson (Bloomfield), Carlos
