THE MATCH: East Thurrock United begin a hectic final week of the season against Gloucester City tomorrow.

Rocks have four matches in eight days to conclude their campaign, with manager John Coventry looking to better their 56 points tally from last season.

With matches against teams including Wealdstone and Havant & Waterlooville to come, Rocks will be determined to take something from their trip west.

Gloucester, who are playing their home matches at Evesham United’s Jubilee Stadium this season, have lost four of their last six matches and were beaten 3-0 by Rocks earlier in the season.

Both teams have won 50 points so far this term.

THE INSIGHT: “You can’t really prepare for this week as injuries tomorrow could put us in a tricky place ahead of Monday,” said Coventry.

“I want us to be competitive against Gloucester like we were against Dartford and I believe in my players.

“It is hard to call this game but managers will always want to win games and the chance to blood youngsters may be on their mind as well.

“We would love to get to 56 points like we did last year but we didn’t get points against Chelmsford or Dartford and I think it will be difficult now.

“We were worthy of a point against Dartford.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Harry Honesty is out and Max Cornhill is a doubt.
