l RUNDOWN: East Thurrock United are presented with an excellent chance to reach their 45 point goal for the season when they visit struggling Bishop’s Stortford.

Rocks were beaten 6-1 at high-flying Ebbsfleet United last time out as their second half of the season difficulties continued.

But they will fancy their chances against Stortford who are six points from safety with just 10 matches remaining.

However, there was nothing between the two teams in the reverse fixture. In fact, Rocks needed an 86th minute equaliser from former midfielder Kane Ferdinand to salvage a point in a keenly-contested 2-2 draw.

Stortford upset the odds to defeat St Albans last weekend and hand themselves an unlikely shot at survival.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Rocks boss John Coventry said: “Bishop’s Stortford are saying they think they can get out of trouble and if they believe that you know it will be a tough game.

“It was a scrappy game first time around. We were both poor on the day and I expect better.

“We know we are no longer the side we were in the first half of the season.

“Only four of that team started in the first game against Ebbsfleet played in the defeat to them last week."

l TEAM NEWS: Ben Marlow could return, although Sam Higgins, James Walker and Ryan Sammons will definitely miss out.
