l RUNDOWN: East Thurrock go into tomorrow’s match with high-flying Poole Town looking to tick off another achievement on their checklist.

Victory tomorrow would make it three wins in a row for the first time in the National League South.

And, judging by the last two matches, there could be plenty of late drama. Goals in the 88th minute have won Rocks their last two matches, with Lee Burns heading home the winner against Margate on Tuesday evening.

But Poole promises to be a sterner test, and Rocks boss John Coventry wouldn’t be displeased with another point, which they claimed in the reverse fixture in what could be windy conditions.

Fourth-placed Poole have won the last three matches in the league.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Rocks manager John Coventry: “It was windy against Margate and it makes it a leveller. I hope it drifts away but it depends how much damage it does in the mean time. It doesn’t matter who we play but we've relieved the pressure.

"A defeat wouldn’t be so bad as I would settle for two points from every three games. But another win would mean we can relax a bit and that shows in the players and in the staff.”

l TEAM NEWS: Marvel Ekpiteta is out, Ben Marlow should return. Ryan Sammons could be back in the squad having recovered from a broken collarbone.
