l RUNDOWN: East Thurrock return to league action after a two week break following their early exit from the FA Cup.

Rocks had been enjoying a promising start to life in the division, sitting 13th ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.

However, manager John Coventry will be looking to get more wins under his belt as the weeks go on, with Rocks currently the draw specialists in the National League South (six).

Oxford have not enjoyed a good start to the season and are currently languishing second-from-bottom with eight points from their 12 games to date.

They have also conceded more goals than all but Hemel Hempstead (26), which may be music to the ears of Rocks' strikers, although they will still be without talismanic striker Sam Higgins, who is recovering from injury.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Rocks boss John Coventry said: “I don't enjoy these periods without games at all and it makes you miss the Ryman side of things. You get used to Saturday and Tuesday matches.

"We have tried to make changes as we are going through a bad spell and the attitude could be better in all honesty. Complacency has crept in but I don't want to overreact.

"I know a bit about Oxford and they are struggling a bit but they are all tough games.

"It is good we are tough to beat but we need a certain amount of points and draws aren't to get you that.

"If I need to look for others I will look to bring others in."

l TEAM NEWS: Higgins is back involved in training. George Craddock returns but Teddy Nesbitt is out (hamstring).
