Met Police 0-3 East Thurrock United

Ryman Premier League
EAST Thurrock United returned to the championship race with a comfortable win at Met Police.
Rocks won 3-0 and combined with Hampton & Richmond Borough’s heavy defeat giving Rocks the best goal difference heading into the final five games.
East Thurrock got off to a flying start, as they looked to continue what has been some excellent form on the road this campaign.
It was an unlikely man that opened the scoring with Ryan Sammons, who had been a doubt before the match through illness, finding the net with a looping effort that looked suspiciously like a cross.
Rocks were the brighter of the two sides and were well on top heading towards the midway point in the half, with Sam Higgins striking the post.
And that was when they struck again with the impressive Tom Wraight proving too elusive for the home defence to score with a curling strike that left the keeper with no chance.
Rocks were the better side throughout and could have extended their advantage before they did make the game safe through on-loan midfielder Ben Marlow, who stroked home after pressuring the goalkeeper to make it 3-0.
East Thurrock United: Lidakevicius, Sammons (Newby), Knott, Ellul, Hayles, Wood, Ruel (Scott), Craddock (Robson), Higgins, Marlow, Wraight
