THE PREVIEW: East Thurrock travel to Tonbridge looking to continue their impressive away form this season.
Rocks haven’t lost on the road since October 24, and have taken seven points from their last three away matches, including a thumping 4-1 triumph at Kingstonian.
Tonbridge have slumped in recent weeks, although still sit third in the standings.
They have won just once in the last nine matches. Six of those matches have ended level, including a 1-1 draw at Canvey Island last weekend.
Draws against Merstham, Staines Town and Harrow Borough show chinks in the Angels’ armour.
Tonbridge won the corresponding fixture 3-1 last year.
WHAT HE SAYS: Rocks manager John Coventry said: “Tonbridge had a good first half to the season and they have some very good players that can cause problems.
“They have a very wide pitch as well and their wingers make full use of the space.
“I am looking to bring in a couple of new faces as well after we lost a couple recently. Ashley Miller wanted to leave, Mitch Gilbey needed games, Kris Newby needed games after his injury and Ryan Scott has gone to Australia.
“It is difficult but we are confident with the players we have.”
