THE PREVIEW: East Thurrock are the division’s in-form team and know victory against Met Police tomorrow could lift them into the play-offs.

A 3-1 win at VCD Athletic on Tuesday brought them to within a point of the top five, although Rocks did come away from the match with injury concerns.

They have some bad memories to banish from playing Met Police last season when Rocks lost both encounters 5-0, while a meeting in the 2013-14 season ended 4-3 in Rocks favour, so it promises to be an exciting match for the spectator!

Manager John Coventry has admitted he needs to add to his squad, although it doesn’t look as though he will be able to add reinforcements before tomorrow.

Met Police secured an impressive 3-0 win at Canvey Island on Tuesday and currently sit 12th, just five points off the play-off places.

WHAT HE SAYS: Rocks boss John Coventry said: “Met Police will not be an easy game at all. They had a poor start to the season by their own standards but they have improved drastically in recent months.

“I know their manager Jim Cooper well and he has built a very competitive side and it will be a tough match for us.

“That said we are in good form and the boys are really looking forward to it.

“The squad is looking a bit depleted with injuries but we will battle through and look to get the result.”
