THE PREVIEW: East Thurrock welcome South Park hoping to continue their fine recent form in cup competitions.
Bowing out at the third qualifying round of the FA Cup, John Coventry’s men take on the side hovering just outside the play-off places in the Ryman One South.
South Park defeated East Thurrock’s borough rivals Aveley in the last round of the FA Trophy.
Rocks won 4-0 against Brentwood Town in the week to return to form following a derby defeat to Billericay last weekend. Lewis Smith will lead the line after Sam Higgins, right, was ruled out for six weeks.
WHAT HE SAYS: Rocks manager John Coventry said: “It is important financially to do well in the cup competitions but it won’t be easy.
“South Park have done well in cup competitions in recent years and they played well when I went to watch them this week.
“They play good football and like to get it down and play through the thirds of the pitch which is good to see.
“I was treated really well when I went to watch them and they are a lovely club, who will pose a lot of problems for us if we aren’t on our game.”
