RYMAN ROUND-UP: East Thurrock United will have to wait until Sunday to take on Peacehaven & Telscombe as they look to rediscover the winning touch.

The car park at Peacehaven’s ground, The Sports Park, is owned by Peacehaven Town Council and is being used on Saturday, meaning the game has been pushed back 24 hours.

And Rocks are looking to get their play-off tilt back on track, after only one win in eight, although manager John Coventry said he felt they were nearing their best form after Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Bognor Regis Town.

East Thurrock crushed the Sussex side 4-0 seven weeks ago and Coventry is looking for a similar performance on Sunday.

“I have never been there,” he said. “It will be a new challenge for us and we have a couple of suspensions to deal with but we go there in pretty good shape.

“It is a Sunday game so it will be a bit different for us. We will be missing David Bryant and Nicky Symons – who both start two game suspensions – but we are confident and we look forward to it.”

Canvey Island travel to play-off chasing Leatherhead, and will have keeper Tim Brown back in the side.

The on-loan West Ham stopper missed last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Lewes, with Charlton Athletic youngster Dimitar Mitov coming in for the game.

Dave Collis will miss the game, although the rest of the squad is fully-fit.

The Gulls are unbeaten in eight league matches, but Leatherhead have won seven of the last eight league matches, and Canvey boss Danny Heale knows it will be a tough test.

“They are in good form,” he said. “We have played them three times this season already and drawn them all.”

Heale thanked the Addicks for loaning Mitov to them after Brown, left, sustained an injury.

Great Wakering Rovers travel to an in-form Tilbury with a number of absentees.

Defenders Stuart Hepburn and Max Kent (unavailable), winger Tony Jacobs (work commitments) and attacker Billy Johnson (ankle) are all out.

Eighteen-year-old goalkeeper Charlie Huntley has been called up from the reserves after a number of decent showings.

John-Joe Slater is also back in contention again after missing the last three games with an ankle injury.

Billericay Town host bottom-of-the-table Bury Town in the Ryman Premier League.

Billericay have a fully-fit squad, with Craig Edwards’ only absentee George Beavan, who is out with a long-term injury.

Bury are 11 points from safety.
