NON LEAGUE: EAST THURROCK will head into tomorrow’s relegation six-pointer at home to Thamesmead with a golden opportunity to go clear of the drop zone.
Rocks start the day in the final relegation spot and a point behind their visitors Town. Victory would move John Coventry’s side above that dreaded dotted line – and with games in hand on many of their rivals.
Both teams come into the match after morale-boosting results against high-flying Kingstonian this week.
On Saturday, goals in the last 10 minutes from Shamir Mullings and Danny Phillips saw Thamesmead grab a point with a 2-2 draw at home to the K’s.
And on Tuesday, returning striker Sam Higgins was on target in his latest debut for Rocks in a 2-0 win against Alan Dowson’s side at Rookery Hill.
Kingstonian’s latest challenge will be a visit from Billericay Town tomorrow. Craig Edwards’ side lost 1-0 in a poor game at home to Lowestoft Town this week.
