East Thurrock United Ladies suffered another frustrating Sunday as their Essex Women’s County Cup second round tie at Barking was called off again. The pitch at Eastern Region Women’s League Barking was declared waterlogged for the third week running meaning that the two sides must try again next Sunday. With County Cup games taking precedence over league fixtures, the Rockettes have now seen three league games postponed for this cup tie, and have not played a match of any kind since 1st November. They have now slipped seven points behind the Division 3 leaders – Barking Reserves, ironically – but have three games in hand and still occupy second place in the table.
