ESSEX Eagles head coach Chris Silverwood has urged the passionate home support to cheer his side to a One-Day Cup final appearance at Lord’s.

The Eagles welcome Notts Outlaws to Chelmsford tomorrow looking to book a final spot for the first time since 2008.

Essex are unbeaten at home this season, and will play the 50-over match in front of a capacity crowd of more than 4,000 supporters.

And Silverwood says it is ‘do or die’ at this stage.

“There is a lot of excitement about the place but we must try and treat this like any other game,” he said.

“We did so well in the group stages and are top of the County Championship but now it is do or die and winner takes all.

“We will follow our game plan and if we do that we stand a very good chance of winning.

“Nowhere rocks like this place,” he added. “It is very noisy and we want that passion to come across tomorrow.”
