Millers joy at league progress
11:30am Friday 19th March 2010 in Ryman Premier Division
MILLERS have always made it plain that, in their first season in the top flight, their main aim has been to retain their Premier status.
But suddenly, with six wins in their last eight games, they find themselves up in fifth spot. They are currently four points behind a Hastings side currently filling the all-important fifth spot with two games in hand.
Aveley host the Hertfordshire side tomorrow — starting a run in which each of their next five matches are against major play-off challengers.
Due to the Sports Relief admission at Millfield tomorrow is free. Aveley, with 11 games to go, are just five points away from the 50-points total. But Martin Tuohy limped out of the midweek action at Ware with a hamstring problem.
