Aveley's play-off hopes dashed by Boreham Wood

RYMAN PREMIER: Aveley's dream of winning promotion to the Blue Square South is over.

In their first season in the top flight of the Ryman set-up, a fabulous late run saw the Millers finish third and earn a place in the end of season play-offs.

But tonight, in their play-off semi-final at home to a Boreham Wood side who finished fourth, they were beaten 1-0 at home.

The Hertfordshire visitors now meet the winners of tomorrow night's semi-final between Sutton United and Kingstonian in the final on Saturday.
