Concord Rangers 3, Aveley 4
MILLERS kept up the winning habit in a Thames-side Trophy clash that ebbed and flowed.
Rangers held the edge in the first half and went a goal up through Tommy Lee after 18 minutes, extending their lead two minutes into the second half through Alex Fiddes.
Aveley pulled a goal back with 12 minutes remaining through Petrit Elbit and in the last minute substitute Wayne Vaughan popped up with an equaliser.
Both sides, particularly Aveley who have a big Ryman One derby with East Thurrock on Saturday, were happy to go straight to penalties but the referee decreed extra time had to be played.
Vauhan’s second of the game gave Aveley the edge on 98 minutes before Dave Collins squared things up again four minutes later.
The winner came from Paul White five minutes from the end of the second period of extra time.
