AVELEY secured a 0-0 draw in a local derby with Romford to finish the Ryman North campaign in 7th.
The Millers went into the final day of the season knowing that they could not break into the play-off places unless Haringey Borough suffered a significant defeat to Norwich United, Bowers & Pitsea lost to AFC Hornchurch and Aveley secured a big win over Romford.
A goalless draw at Ship Lane resulted in Terry Spillane's side finishing three points off Haringey Borough, who claimed the final play-off spot after registering a point against Norwich United.
But the Millers will move into their new Parkside Stadium for the 2017/18 season on a high, having finishing the campaign with only one defeat in their final ten Ryman North games of term.
Aveley's Jeremiah Maja hit the side netting early on, before Michael Toner struck the crossbar on the half hour mark.
Maja had a goal disallowed for offside moments later, while Romford also had a goal chalked off just before half time.
The hosts went down to ten men just after the hour mark as Greg Akpele received a second yellow card.
Maja had another goal disallowed soon after as Aveley had to settle for a point.
