AVELEY drew 2-2 with Dereham Town as their Ryman North play-off tilt stalled.
The Millers are now 10 points off fifth-placed Haringey Borough after they failed to get the better of mid-table Dereham, who had twice taken the lead in the encounter.
The Magpies went ahead with just two minutes on the clock with Adam Smith on target although Aveley were to level before the half was out.
Shortly before the half hour, Billy Coyne equalised from the penalty spot.
Jay Eastoe-Smith restored Dereham’s advantage six minutes into the second half, but, once again, they couldn’t hold onto the lead.
Mason Bloomfield scored another goal for the Millers seven minutes later, and that was how it stayed.
Aveley visit Wroxham next weekend as they look to keep their top five hopes alive.
