JUSTIN Gardner has quit his role as Aveley manager, bringing his four-year tenure to an end.

Gardner has cited personal reasons as his reasons for leaving Mill Field, with the news breaking late last night.

He leaves the club after leading his team to an excellent start in the Ryman North, with Aveley third in the standings after a 3-1 home win over Brentwood Town at the weekend.

The club thanked Gardner for his commitment over the last four years.

Any interested parties in the vacant position are advised to contact club secretary Craig Johnson 07946 438540, as the club looks forward to an exciting period with the new ground under construction with a completion date set for Summer 2017.
