Heybridge Swifts 2-0 Aveley
From Scraley Road
Ryman One North
AVELEY went down 2-0 to Heybridge Swifts in an end-to-end game.
The Millers had a number of early half-chances, only for Lewis Godbold to open the scoring after 15 minutes, tapping home from close range.
Dave Hutton hit the post for Swifts, with Liam Nash shooting wide shortly afterwards.
Spencer Harrison also missed the target, with only an offside flag denying Godbold on the stroke of half-time.
Abs Seymour had a penalty appeal turned down, but a terrific strike doubled the lead.
Taylor Hastings’ 25-yard ripper found the corner, with James Marrable well beaten.
And that was how it stayed.
Aveley: Marrable, Preston, Dicks, Okwera, Harrison, Alaile, Nash, Prescott, Teniola, Seymour, Deen
