Aveley 3-0 Witham Town
From Mill Field
Ryman One North
A LIAM Nash inspired Aveley cruised to victory over Witham Town in impressive fashion.
The striker scored all three goals in a fine individual performance against the side that were playing in the Ryman Premier League last season.
Witham had struggled away from home this season, with just one win to their name and they were outplayed by the Millers.
Nash’s opening goal came after 37 minutes, and it was a fine move. The forward timed his run to perfection, picking up a ball from Billy Holland and bending into the corner impressively.
The game was in the balance until 70 minutes, when Nash got his second of the afternoon.
The striker picked up another through ball before cutting inside, with the help of Abs Seymour’s dummy, and shooting beyond the goalkeeper.
And nine minutes later he had his hat-trick. Paul Preston sent in a fine delivery and the striker was in the right place to complete a fine afternoon’s work.
