AVELEY conceded three late goals to go down to struggling Soham Town Rangers.

It appeared the Millers were heading for three points after they took the lead through Arian Retkoceri from the penalty spot moments before half-time.

But three goals in the last 13 minutes saw the home team take the points, after they battled back impressively.

The game started at a frantic pace, with Salim Relizani drilling over the bar for the hosts shortly after 10 minutes.

Simon Swinton was also off target as the home team turned up the pressure, with a last ditch clearance from Junior Baker keeping the scores level.

But then it was Aveley’s turn to attack. Justin Gardner's men felt aggrieved not to have been awarded a penalty five minutes before they did get a spot kick before long.

Retkoceri tucked it away to give Aveley the lead at half-time and they picked up from where they left off, with Liam Nash only denied by a sprawling save.

But after 77 minutes, Soham levelled. Swinton hit the target, placing inside the near post to equalise with James Marrable keeping the score at 1-1 with a fine save moments later.

But Ryan Sharman scored, despite Aveley appeals the ball had gone out of play, and Ben Sawyer made it 3-1 on the stroke of full-time.
