AVELEY suffered their fourth defeat on the trot after conceding two late goals having led 3-2.

The Millers were 2-0 down after 19 minutes through goals from Luke Stanley and James McCabe but fought back well to lead the match going into the last ten minutes.

Rashid Kamara reduced the deficit first of all before goals from Jay Leader and debutant Aryan Tajbakhsh from the penalty spot.

The lead was short lived when Michael Simpson rifled one past an unsighted Jack Giddens.

The hosts completed a remarkable turnaround when Stanley scored his second of the game with nine minutes to go.

Justin Gardner said after the match that he was impressed at his side’s attacking play but was being let down by individual errors.

“We’ve just got the stick together – we are in a bit of a rut at the moment.”

“I don’t think we’re having the rub of the green, I think every decision is going against us but that’s what happens when you’re losing games. We’ve just got to dig deep.”
