Sea reports from Erith to The Crouch

SEA FISHING: THERE has been plenty of action for local sea anglers.
Thamesmead & Erith: Eddie Sharp reports reports flounders and the occasional nass at Thamesmead: Flounders, eels and bass to 4.5lb have been caught at Morrison’s Jetty in Erith, but there have been no whiting this week.
Medway City Estate: Staff at Dolphin Angling have reported codling to 2lb being taken on lug and squid cocktail.
Queen Elizabeth II Bridge: Bass to 8lb-plus have been landed at the Dartford bridge, along with some decent whiting. Anglers are advised to use a lot of weight because there is a very strong current.
Grays Wharf: Whiting and flounders have been landed, along with bass to 2lb.
Rainham: It is flounders only at Coldharbour Lane.
Dagenham: Flounders and eels providing sport.
River Crouch: Whiting and bass have been reported at Holywell Point, while it is mainly whiting and the occasional dogfish at the Hole in the Wall. Bass to 2lb-plus and whiting have been caught at Fambridge.
River Roach: Decent flounders have been had.
Walton Pier: There are lots of whiting, bass, dogfish, thornback rays and codling being caught.
