Joint Action charity to benefit from Tilbury man's pigeon racing plan

PIGEONS: BOROUGH pigeon racer Charlie Lawrence is aiming to run in next year’s London Marathon to boost the coffers of the Joint Action charity. The organisation funds orthopaedic research involving joint replacement.

Lawrence wants to raise £2,000 and llocal pigeon enthusiasts are holding a series of shows to boost his cash.

Shows will be held on Sunday November 11: old cocks through the wires, old hens through the wires.

Sunday November 18: old cocks handled, young hens through the wires.

Friday November 23: old hens handled, young cocks through the wires.

Sunday December 2: Any age cock through the wires, any age hen through the wires, eyesign and colour class, any age cock or hen through the wires.
