Sea anglers see plenty of action

SEA ANGLING: SEA anglers hve been seeing plenty of action in the south east recently. Thamesmead: Eddie Sharp reports lots of flounders and schoolies.
Erith: There are still lots of crabs causing a nuisance at Morrison’s Jetty but anglers have still had bass to 3lb and good bags of flounders at this popular venue.
Gravesend: Dolphin Angling staff report whiting, bass, flounders and the occasional codling.
Greenhythe: Bass to 2.5lb have provided sport.
Sheerness: Whiting and flounders have been landed.
Rainham: Flounders and schoolies have been reported at Coldharbour Lane.
Grays Wharf and Yacht Club: It is mostly whiting being caught, with the occasional flounder also being landed.
River Crouch: Anglers have been catching sizeable bass and lots of schoolies.
Walton Pier: Richard Holgate reports lots of sizeable whiting and the occasional codling. Anglers fishing the beaches are catching whiting.
Felixstowe: The whiting are getting larger at the Suffolk town, with lots around the 1lb mark.
Boats: Anglers aboard Cloud Nine out of Wallasea have had cod to 6lb. Thornback rays, smooth-hounds
