Harry Terry's 92 break wows borough snooker fans

SNOOKER: STANFORD Con Club watchers saw a 92 break by Harry Terry of Tilbury Community Centre B, when the two clubs met for their battle in the team knockout first round.

Terry, who is the current holder of the highest break title for last season, bettered his break by eight points and went on to take his two frames, to add to Ross Palmer and Steve Gill`s one each to earn a 4-2 victory and a place in the second round, where they will play hosts to Aveley Village B.

Hot on his tail in the line of high breaks was Riley’s man Andy Phitiou.

With a break of 81 and two frames, Phitiou helped secure a second round place for Rileys when they knocked out Stanford Cons B by four frames to nil.

Grays WMC A sent league leaders Stifford Clays packing with a 5-1 victory thanks to Daniel Foord, Dan Palmer and Kieth Price. Grays will now be up against their B team in the next round.

Two frames each from Gary Langrish and Dave Shave gave Aveley Village A a 4-2 win when they took on Springhouse A.
