Celebration for bowls club

BOWLS: STANFORD’S United Services Bowls Club have been celebrating success in county competitions. They won the county double rink final against Falcon Bowls Club to lift the Albert Crabb Trophy.

The event pits two teams of four playing at the same time and cumulative score counts overall.

The players were: Anne Hedgecock; Sheila Hughes; Emma Chapman; and Elaine Score; Carol Clift; Gwen Gray; Ann Score and Carol Strong. Elaine Score also won the county singles title, and with her mum – Ann Score – the duo won the county pairs title. Keeping it in the family, Elaine’s daughter, Emma Chapman, was the youngest female, 20, to be awarded her county badge this year.
