RYMAN 1N: AARON Matthews scored with the last kick of the game to steal a point for Tilbury.

Soham Town Rangers won their first game of the season last week.

After an even first 45 minutes, Soham took the lead ten minutes into the second half through Michael Simpson, who tapped home from seven yards following some good work from Robbie Mason. The hosts should have wrapped up the three points with two minutes to go but Tilbury stopper James Marrable turned Jack Paxman’s effort wide.

Minutes later, Marrable came up for a corner in a last gasp effort to get something. Soham cleared in the 95th minute, and Matthews 25-yard shot crept in.

Tomorrow Tilbury host Sudbury at Chadfields.
