GYMNASTICS: THREE teams from South Essex Gymnastics Club competed in the Bury Spectrum team competition.

The level five team of Abby Forkner, Tegan Rees, Kerry King and Ashleigh Saunders came in third place and achieved a bronze medal. In the level four competition, there were two South Essex Gym teams entered. One of the teams included Robynne Denholm, Ania Lathrope, Angeline Neme and Sophie Goodman and they placed a respectable fourth position. But they were outperformed by the club’s other team of Charlotte Fink, Natasha Freeman, Devon Allen and Erin Bellman who came first and won the level four team competition.

Bellman had cause for double celebration as she also won the overall competition, with Freeman just 0.05 points behind her in second and Allen one place further back in third as South Essex Gym Club showcased their dominance.

Darcie Loman also competed in the level four team competition as an individual and performed very well.
