Boss critical of referee
9:47am Monday 10th September 2012 in Sport
FOOTBALL: DAGENHAM & Redbridge boss John Still was critical of referee Lee Collins following his side’s 3-1 defeat at Roots Hall.
Still saw defender Luke Wilkinson dismissed after just eight minutes for a professional foul on Gavin Tomlin.
And that was the first of many decisions he did not agree with.
“I was disappointed by the referee’s decisions and I certainly didn’t think they helped the game,” said Still. “But even when we went down to 10 men we got a goal back and then missed a couple of chances to get an equaliser.
“Southend got their third goal straight after which is also disappointing.
“But there were positives for us to take out of the game and we just need to keep on working hard to turn our performances in to wins,” added the Daggers boss.
