CRICKET: RAVI Bopara contributed six runs in England’s seven-wicket defeat to South Africa in the first International Twenty20 match.
Bopara faced 11 balls before being caught by Johan Botha off a Dale Steyn delivery at Chester le Street.
England reached 118-7 from their 20-over allocation with Craig Kieswetter top-scoring with 25.
Jacques Kallies (48) and Jean-Paul Duminy (47no) anchored the reply as the tourists won with 119-3, with Jade Dernback taking 2-31.
