CRICKET: HAROLD Wood edged home with just three balls to spare in this Shepherd Neame Essex League 50-overs per side match on Saturday. Belhus opener Gavin Jefferies hit a fine 67 and Richard Day, batting in the middle order, scored 59.

Martin Guilbert and Billy Winter rallied the troops with 46 and 20 respectively. But the home side responded with similar gusto.
