SEA ANGLING: THURROCK sea anglers have plenty of summer options this weekend:
Thamesmead: Eddie sharp report some flounders, eels and a few schoolies.
Erith’s Morrison Jetty: Eels and flounders.
Medway’s Finsbury Park: Bass and pouting are showing.
Dagenham: Lots of flounders and eels.
Rainham (Coldharbour Lane): Flounders and schoolies.
Gravesend: Graham from Dolphin Angling reports bass, soles, eels and flounders.
Greenhithe: Big bags of small bass.
Southend Pier: Lee from Southend Angling centre reports bass to 7.5lb, mackerel and mullett.
Southend beaches: Still some large mullett at Chalkwell, not mackerel as reported last week.
Barge Pier: Bass, mackerel and mullett.
Concrete shelter: Bass.
Left hand side of Shoebury boom beach: Lots of mullett.
River Crouch: Bass roker and some eels.
River Roach: Showing flounders and eels.
Walton Pier: Richard Holgate reports bass around the lifeboat area. Try spinning as bigger bass are being taken on this method.
Walton-on-the-Naze (in front of the towers): Good bass sport being had at the moment.
Holland on Sea (around the slab area): Bigger bass coming up on large black red gills.
Boats: Because of the easterly winds, catches have been affected.
‘Cloud Nine’ at Wallasea: Whiting, smoothhounds small bass.
‘Misty Lady’ at Walton: Skate and smoothhounds.
