Teams play to remember tragic Kevin

MEMORIAL MATCH: Tilbury under-15s won the inaugural Kevin Koromah memorial match with a 3-2 victory over Aveley under-15s.

Kevin died in his sleep in March aged 14 and played for the Dockers and the Millers as well as East Thurrock United’s junior teams.

The match was originally intended as a one-off but organizer Terry Hornsby, who is the Tilbury under-15 manager, said he was now planning to make it an annual event.

Kevin’s father Sanusee presented the trophy to Tilbury captain Brandon Geeves in front of a good turnour at the Dockers’ Chadfields home.

Money collected at the match was presented to Kevin’s family, who live in Chafford Hundred, and will be donated to a charity of their choice.
