Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen and Mark Sheppard
SPORT: CORRINGHAM-based Junior Gunner Mark Sheppard is still on cloud nine after appearing as a mascot for his favourite team.
Eleven-year-old Mark Sheppard was chosen be the Gunners’ mascot for their a 3-2 victory over West Brom on Sunday May 13.
Football mad Mark joined the Gunners team for their final game of the 2011/12 season, and got to meet the entire Arsenal team, including Thomas Vermaelen.
Mark went home with a brand new Arsenal kit too.
Mark said: “It was just brilliant to have been chosen, especially to meet Vermaelen. I had a really great day,” he added.
