Gable Hall Schools Cup success for borough

Gable Hall's Year 10/11 winners
FOOTBALL: A CORRINGHAM school has shown its teeth in the recent Thurrock Secondary Schools FA Cup competition.
Gable Hall School enjoyed double success in the Association’s finals on Wednesday May 16 at the Lakeside Sports Ground.
Gable Hall secured victory in two of the three categories.
The school’s Year 7 team came back from a 2-1 second half deficit to beat William Edwards.
The final score was 3-2.
The Gable Hall team are already Thurrock League champions, so this gives the team the double.
And the Year 10/11 team beat a physical Ockendon Academy side 1-0. The only goal came from Louis Shilling. The Year 8/9 Final was decided by a last minute extra-time goal after a the normal time score ended up 1-1. Harris Academy worked hard to overcome a very strong Ockendon side, 2-1.
