Grays Cons are crowned champions

SNOOKER: GRAYS Cons were crowned league champions of 2012, after their 3-3 draw over third place Aveley Ship.
Even with one outstanding game, which was postponed earlier in the season, the Cons team, Ross Palmer, Steve Palmer, Matt Fisher, David McDonagh, Harry Terry and Steve Gill have only lost two games all season and cannot be beaten.
Lew Seales, Ray Moon and Richard Hobart gave Stanford Cons B a 4-2 win against Rileys and secured a runner up spot for the last seasons champions.
In the billiards singles second round, Rileys Paul Pankhurst beat John Crump of Stanford Cons B in a close game with the scores staying almost level for most of the match, up until 126 points a piece when Pankhurst put his foot on the gas to reach the 150 points target needed for the victory.
