Air ambulance boost thanks to West Essex Bowmen

ARCHERY: WEST Essex Bowmen held their largest event of the year to boost the coffers of the Essex Air Ambulance.

Despite appalling weather the two-day shoot continued as 100 archers from around the UK took part in the Double FITA 70m Tournament. More than £1,300 was raised for the EAA – bringing the five year total to £8,000.

In addition, the fund will be boosted by matched funding from Barclays Bank and will take the total to more than £2,000. Club chairman Jeremy Clifford was delighted with the result."
