Thurrock Colts bag 27 points

South Woodham Ferrers 14 Thurrock Colts 27 RUGBY: THURROCK’S Colts outplayed South Woodham on Sunday and booked their place in the Colts’ final. South Woodham monopoliesed on Tees’ nervous start and were the first to score with a penalty.

Tees kept their heads and despite some excellent rucking from SWF, managed to score an unconverted try. The borough Colts then got a penalty and, just before half time made Woodham pay for a mistake, pushing the half time score to 8-13.

After the restart Thurrock took control and played some great rugby. But it wasn't until the last quarter that Tees finally made their advantage count with a flurry of trys.

Thurrock will now play Chingford in the final on April 29 – with the venue still to be decided.
