SPEEDWAY: NEW Lakeside Hammers reserve Justin Sedgmen is back in Essex and ready to play his part with the Purfleet based track team this season.
The 20-year-old from Victoria spent the winter in Australia practising.
He said: “I did a huge amount of of competitive racing in both the Australian senior and the Under-21 Championships where I finished runner-up, so it all went really well.”
“I also spent a lot of time working on my fitness, doing a lot of training as well as racing.
“My best mate back home is Josh Waters, who is a former Australian Superbike Champion, and he showed me a few more varied training techniques that they use in Superbikes, which really helped me to improve my training."
The former Swindon rider, who will share the Hammers reserve spot with Richie Worrall, whilst also doubling up with the Redcar Bears in the Premier League.
Hammers fans have their first chance to see Sedgmen on Friday March 23 at an open night at Arena-Essex Raceway.
