GIRLS FOOTBALL: Around 80 girls aged from six to ten developed their “passing game” at Hornchurch Sports Centre recently, where they all enjoyed the latest Essex County FA 4v4 Festival aimed at driving increased participation in female football.
The girls, from twelve different clubs across the region, took part in a series of mini-matches in the sports hall as part of Essex County FA’s continued development of girls’ football within the area, concentrating on increasing participation. As the event was played indoors on smaller pitches, the players got the chance to use the Futsal balls for the first time, which are deliberately heavier so they cannot be kicked up in the air.
